On Tuesday 23rd of October we hosted a “Best of Ignite” event at Wortell together with the BE and NL Unified Communications Community (BE-COM).
With over 40 enthusiastic attendees, we had a great crowd visiting our beautiful office (old catholic church) to network, have discussions and watch the variety of sessions focussed on Office 365/Exchange Online, Skype for Business/Teams, Azure AD and EMS.

Together with my colleague Lauwrensz I did a session about Intelligent Communications (Skype for Business and Teams). During Ignite, it got even clearer that Microsoft is moving away from Skype for Business Online and invests heavily in Teams. Evidence of this shift is the announcement that all new tenants of 500 seats or less won’t get Skype for Business Online by default anymore and the fact the purely Skype for Business Online tenants will be migrated to Teams. Because of this strong focus we had more than enough to talk about in an hour :-). Topics we touched:
